Recently we had the privilege of experiencing a perfect night’s sleep. Where did this luxurious event occur you ask? It was at the Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile and yes it was wonderful.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Montreal and is ideal for business travelers and art lovers alike. The Museum of Fine Arts is close by and guests are only a short walk from the shopping district as well as many of Montreal’s fine restaurants. However if you want to eat great food, you do not have to leave the premises as the Renoir restaurant is conveniently located in the hotel lobby and offers magnificent meals. Off the bar area is the outdoor patio. Usually reserved for summer, however, starting this winter you can enjoy a drink on the heated patio at the Renoir en Sucre.
There are 241 rooms in the hotel including 17 suites. One of the suites was our room of choice, it was spacious and grand featuring Sofitel’s luxurious feathertop and duvet sleep system – SoBed. The bed was so comfortable it felt like you melted into it. The suite included wifi and a Keurig coffee maker with several choices of coffee and tea and a great view of the Montreal skyline.
The bathroom was our favorite part of our Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile suite. Brightly lit it included both a tub and divine shower. All of the standard amenities are included, and guests are also provided with soft robes and slippers.
After our restful night, the morning brought sunshine and a trip to the hotel gym. The gym is supplied with state of the art machines and a welcoming sauna to relax in after working out. After exercising it was time to try shower once again. No weekend at the Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile would be complete without a visit to the Renoir Restaurant where the amazing chefs have prepared a sumptuous Sunday Brunch. What a way to end a weekend of rest and relation.
